Frequently Asked Questions

Are ARIA Studios and Sprout the same company?

ARIA Studios and Sprout by ARIA Studios operate under the same company and leadership, but offer two very different product lines: Sprout was created as a more basic, low-cost option for couples getting married on Oahu, and offers simple coverage and a quick 30-day turnaround, while our ARIA teams feature our premier shooters who focus on storytelling, and specialize in a mix of fine art and photojournalistic photography.

What’s the difference between wedding videography and cinematography? What does documentary mean?

Wedding Videography is the traditional approach of capturing weddings that documents the day in a simple format. It is clean, solid and predictable.

The word “Cinematography” — commonly associated with Motion Pictures — represents “story-telling,” in the wedding world. The final film is an art piece as seen through the eyes of the artist (wedding cinematographer). The final product varies with each cinematographer, as each person/company has a different approach and style.

Sprout specializes in documentary-style wedding videography. We try to be unobtrusive and let things happen naturally — so you have a solid document of your wedding day. You can expect full-length versions of the ceremony and reception program.

Do you travel to the neighbor islands or out of state?

Unfortunately we do not travel to neighbor islands, but we do recommend our ARIA Cinema and Photo teams who do travel!

How do we book you?!

Contact us through our contact link. If we are available on your wedding day, we do a complimentary consultation to talk about what would best work for you.

Can you “hold” our wedding day?

Sorry, we do not hold dates. However, once you meet with one of our team members for an initial consultation, we will give you a priority booking — a 48-hour window to book before we release the date.

What type of payments do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, check, and cash payments are accepted.

Are there any hidden fees?

Nope! Just Hawaii State tax of 4.712%. We don’t charge handling fees, credit card fees, or traveling fees (on Oahu).

Are you insured?

Yes!

Are you guys cool?

YES. Or, at least we try to be ; )
